Located in the elegant and upmarket neighbourhood of Salamanca, Hotel Wellington is a calm oasis in the midst of buzzing restaurants, high-end boutiques and happening bars, with a number of popular tourist attractions just a short walk away. Sprawling languorously along a curb on one of the most elite streets in Madrid, the hotel has a stately facade which is furthered within. Guests are greeted by a grand lobby replete with deep red carpeting, crystal chandeliers hanging low from the high ceilings, stately furniture, rich artwork and velvet drapes. The rooms (there are a total of 250) are a little less formal, supplementing grandeur with warmth along with all the usual amenities. If you'd rather not venture out, there's enough for you to immerse yourself in; take a dip in the Jacuzzi before a lap in the pool, get a massage at the spa, stay in shape at the fitness centre and avail of the services of a personal trainer, use the business centre to keep tabs on work, or drink and dine at one of the seven dining options (one of which is a Michelin star Japanese restaurant). When you've tired of all the facilities, there's a host of entertainment activities just beyond the threshold.
