Oddity is a small (but perfectly formed) event management agency that works primarily with public affairs and advocacy teams to deliver events with personality to high-level audiences. We consult some of the most recognised organisations on using the power of live engagement to influence public policy and earn reputation. Aim for attending: To network and gain valuable insight from other agency leaders. Role: Lizzy has over a decade of experience in event management. Lizzy works primarily with organisations who wish to use events for campaigning and lobbying to politicians and policy-makers in order to influence public policy. After graduating with a BA Hons degree in Event Management from the University of Greenwich in 2010, Lizzy began her career at a medical association, delivering scientific conferences in the UK and Europe. After this, she worked as an event operations specialist at Informa, where she was responsible for delivering events up to 8,000 attendees. In 2013 Lizzy took a side-step to gain agency experience at a prestigious communications consultancy, Portland, where she built the commercial events offering and ran a team of events and marketing specialists. While at Portland, Lizzy advised some of the most recognised global organisations on their event projects, including AkzoNobel, Apple, Google, Facebook and McDonalds. After progressing to Head of Events & Marketing, Lizzy left Portland in 2018 to start Oddity. Since then, Oddity has been recognised at industry awards including Conference News' award for Best Start-Up Agency and MIA award for Outstanding Team of the Year, both in 2020, and in 2021 Lizzy was recognised in C&IT magazine's Agency A-List.
